Srinagar, July 28: Nigeen Tourist Traders Association (NTTA) has lauded the efforts of Secretary Tourism Sarmad Hafeez and Director Tourism Kashmir Dr G N Itoo in promoting tourism in Kashmir on an unprecedented scale.
In a meeting with Dr Itoo today, NTTA said that registering of residential houses into home stays and guest houses, beautification of Nigeen lake and its adjacent parks & permanent shelter for fire fighting staff were some of the most striking initiatives taken in recent days and were discussed with him among other issues.
“I am thankful to Director Tourism Kashmir for meeting us today in his office chambers. Had a wonderful and detailed meeting with him regarding the welfare of the Nigeen Tourist Traders. We at NTTA thank him very much for the patient hearing”, Manzoor Wangnoo, President of NTTA said in a statement to Ziraat Times.
“Dr Itoo assured his full support to NTTA and will soon held a meeting in Nigeen with the NTTA members. Date and venue will be announced soon”, Mr Wangnoo said.
Moreover, Secretary Tourism Sarmad Hafeez will be invited in a grand event to be held by NTTA so as to encourage its members and appraise secretary tourism with the grievances and issues faced by the tourist traders of Nigeen, NTTA further said.
