Kashmir Fruit Growers Union thanks LG Sinha and others for resolving fruit transport issue

Srinagar, July 4: The Kashmir Valley Fruit Growers Cum Dealers Union and all Fruit Growers Associations of the Valley have expressed their gratitude  to LG Governor J&K  Manoj
Sinha on passing directions to all concerned quarters not to stop trucks loaded with fresh fruits on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway (NH44).

In a statement to Ziraat Times, the association further said that on the directions of the LG, the traffic plan has been devised in this behalf so
that none faces any difficulty including Yatris and all concerned officials have been asked to ensure fruit Growers, Farmers and Dealers transporting perishable fruits do not face any
inconvenience on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway NH44.

It has been further said by LG Governor that it is top priority of the Administration to streamline and the traffic for Fruit Growers for transportation of their fresh fruits on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway for its safe  arrival to various destinations outside J&K.

Associations of the Valley are extremely thankful of Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta, Chief Secretary,
J&K (UT), Atal Duloo, Financial Commissioner (Addl. Chief Secretary) Agriculture Production Department , Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, IGP Traffic J&K, Director Horticulture, P&M and all print media and electronic media who have strongly highlighted the hardships of valley-based fruit growers and losses suffered by them due to recent hindrances on movement of fruit laden trucks on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway (NH44).

“These print and electronic media have played an important role in this behalf. The Fruit Growers of the Valley are extremely thankful of their performances in this behalf”, Association said.

congratulations and thanks from deep soul of his heart to LG, Governor of J&K Manoj Sinha for issuance of necessary Advisory to all concerned for hassle free movement of fresh
fruits laden trucks on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway (NH44) so that Valley Based Fruit Growers may not face any inconvenience in transportation their perishable fruits outside J&K”, the statement added.
