IIM Srinagar Off-Campus: DC Srinagar reviews land allotment process

SRINAGAR, JULY 15: In order to expedite the process of allotment of land for Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Srinagar Off-campus, a meeting of concerned Officers was held under the Chairmanship of District Collector (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad in his Office Chamber here today.

Director Tourism Department, Kashmir, Dr G.N Itoo was present on the occasion.
The meeting held threadbare deliberations with regard to allotment of land for construction of IIM Srinagar.

Director Tourism Dr Itoo gave his opinion about the intersection of a particular patch of land already designated for IIM with the Land under possession of the Tourism Department.

On the occasion, the DC asked the concerned Team of IIM and Revenue Department to conduct immediate joint field visits to the proposed locations at Soiteng and Shalteng for on spot assessment for technical feasibility to finalise the land for construction of IIM off Campus at Srinagar.

Chairman IIM Jammu’s Srinagar Off-Campus Dr Muqbil Burhan, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Srinagar, Raes Bhat, Deputy Director Higher Education Department, Tehsildar, Pantha Chowk and other concerned attended the meeting.
