Srinagar 12 June: Chairman Nigeen Tourist Traders Association (NTTA) in a statement to Ziraat Times has hailed the recent order of the J&K administration to provide subsidised timber to houseboats and shikara owners for repair.
“Finally, the Heritage Properties of houseboats getting much sought after & decades old pending demand met” he added.
Chairman NTTA stated that “The provision of subsidised timber to houseboat owners is a sigh of relief and these old age heritage properties can now be repaired and refurbished.”
Chairman Manzoor Wangnoo thanked LG Manoj Sinha, Chief Secretary, Secretary Tourism, Director Tourism & dedicated team of the Tourism Department & expressed sincere appreciations to the administration for passing this historical important order and he believes that the same will create new avenues for the houseboat industry, the statement added.
