Allow tourists’ sightseeing to Betab Valley: JK Hoteliers’ Club urges Admin

Srinagar, June 23: Jammu and Hoteliers Club (JKHC) has taken strong note of the government order to bar tourist movment to Betab Valley and Chandanwari in Pagalgam in view of the annual Holy pilgrimage of Amarnath Yatra.

In a statement to Ziraat Times, JKHC said Betab Valley is one of the prime spots in Pahalgam for travellers and keeping tourists away from the beautiful spot will disappoint travellers.

The JKHC said both yatris and leisure tourists are important for tourism sector and needs to be allowed simultaneously for the economic benefits of the locals.

“We welcome yatris wholeheartedly but we can’t ignore the leisure tourists whose have Betab Valley Chandanwari and Aru Valley already scheduled in their itineraries,” the Hoteliers Club said.

The Hoteliers Club urged the LG Administration to impress upon the authorities and Pahalgalm Development Authority to allow sightseeing of the tourists upto Betab Valley.
