These companies, brands suspended activities, supplies to Russia

MOSCOW, March 3: Foreign companies are terminating their activities or suspending the sale of their products in Russia due to Western sanctions. Companies from various segments – aviation, gaming, industrial and others – announced their decision to freeze exports.

Here is the list of the foreign companies that decided to leave the Russian market or temporarily stop their activities in the country.

Aviation and car industries

Boeing, Airbus and Embraer have suspended supplies of spare parts for their aircraft to Russian airlines, their maintenance and technical support. The Boeing training center in Moscow’s Skolkovo has also temporarily stopped working.

– Automakers Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Volvo, and MAN decided to temporarily stop exports, as well as freeze local production in Russia. The Ford Corporation also suspended its activities.

– Suzuki, Honda, Mazda will not supply cars and motorcycles to the country. General Motors and Scania are suspending vehicle deliveries, while Nissan is suspending supplies of the Pathfinder crossover.

– Volkswagen Group Rus has temporarily halted shipments of cars that are already in the Russian Federation to Russian dealerships. The production of Volkswagen Group cars in the country was stopped until further notice.

– Toyota is suspending production in St. Petersburg from March 4 due to interruptions in the supply of components. Hyundai and Renault are suspending the assembly of cars at their Russian plants in St. Petersburg and Moscow, respectively, from March 5. Skoda is cutting production due to lack of parts.

– Daimler Truck has frozen cooperation with Russia’s KamAZ – the company will no longer produce trucks and supply components as part of the DK RUS joint venture.

Electronics and industry

– Apple has stopped exports and online trading as well as limited the operation of services. The re: Store outlets that sell the company’s equipment did not work for a day, but on March 3 they reopened.

– Electronics manufacturer Dell has temporarily stopped selling products.

– The German software maker SAP ceases to introduce activities in Russia, and has also suspended the sale of all its services and products.

– One of the world’s largest software developers Oracle has suspended all operations in the country.

– Ericsson, a manufacturer of telecommunications equipment, has suspended delivery of goods to customers in Russia.

– Russia won’t be able to receive the products of the world’s largest semiconductor manufacturer TSMC, neither it will be able to produce semiconductors under the Elbrus brand, that were developed in the country.

– Russian buyers will temporarily not be able to receive products from the largest bearing manufacturer SKF.

– The Munich-based Siemens Group, which builds trains, maintains factories and supplies software, has so far stopped operations and deliveries to Russia. The company continues to fulfill its maintenance and repair in obligations in the country.

Entertainment, clothing and furniture

– The Walt Disney Company, Warner Bros. and Paramount Pictures have suspended screenings of their films.

– Clothing brand Karl Lagerfeld has stopped deliveries to Russia and switched off the option to buy its products online. Sales have been suspended by H&M. Clothing and accessories retailer ASOS froze shipping, making it impossible to place an order on the site and sports goods manufacturer Nike did the same.

– The company iHerb, which sells dietary supplements, vitamins and food products, will only deliver to already processed orders to Russia, currently it does not accept new orders.

– Deliveries of products by the Lego toy manufacturer have been temporarily suspended.

– The world’s largest alcohol producer Diageo will not supply its products for the time being. The company produces drinks under famous brands, such as Guinness, Baileys and others.

– The Megogo media service has ceased operations in Russia.

– The furniture concern IKEA has suspended its sales in Russia, as well as all exports and imports to and from the country and local production. Danish furniture retailer JYSK has temporarily closed its stores.

Logistics

– The transport and logistics company Kuehne+Nage will no longer deliver goods to Russia except for pharmaceutical products and humanitarian aid items. Maersk did the same, but temporarily.

– DHL, CMA CGM, Fedex and UPS have suspended the delivery of goods and documents to Russia.

– Supplier of packaging solutions and biomaterials Stora Enso will stop all production and sales in Russia.
