JKPCC management, contractors’ unions meet to sort out grievances

JAMMU, JAN 3: Managing Director Jammu and Kashmir Project Construction Corporation, Rajesh Kumar Shavan today held a meeting with the Contractors Union to sort out their grievances.

The Union was represented by Presidents Abdul Salaam and Rakesh Jalaali and they apprised the Managing Director about some of their problems.

The Managing Director urged members of the Contractors Union to work with zeal, honesty and dedication for the transparent execution of the Organization works and assured early consideration of their problems.

The Managing Director gave patient hearing to the Charter of Demands & grievances put forth by the Contractors Union. It was assured that all possible help shall be extended in resolving the genuine grievances of the Union in due course of time as per the availability of resources supposed to be provided by the Government.

The Managing Director gave directions to Executive Director and Financial Controller to explore possibility in respect of Contractors who have worked for the last more than 7 years in the Corporation to recognize them and allow them to participate in the Tendering process & also directed them to process the reconciliation of work-done liability claims of Contractors.

Er. Pardeep Sharma, Executive Director (Chief Engineer); Amit Kumar, Financial Controller JKPCC were also present in the meeting.
