PHDCCI Jammu chapter seeks financial package for revival of J&K’s economy

Srinagar, Nov 25: PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Jammu Chapter has sought a comprehensive financial package for revival of Jammu and Kashmir’s beleaguered economy.

A delegation of PHDCCI, Jammu led by its head Rahul Sahai during the pre-budget meeting put forth a number of suggestions before the government for revival of the economy.

Rahul  Sahai Submitted a Pre Budget Memorandum of Suggestions on measures for revival of J&K economy , keeping budget provisions for industry refunds on time , instalments for long pending dues of industrialists in Sicop , Sidco , Jda and in other Govt departments , Revenue generation by solving matters of Gair Mumkin khads , passi , agriculture land , solving land classification problems , sensitized about effects of lifting toll tax on steel , brick kilns, cement industries , Royalty on brick kilns at par with neighbouring states (Punjab) , 40 CR Budgetary allocation for Development of Transport Nagar Roads , lights etc. , Problems faced by Beer manufacturing units , existing Liquor bar licence renewal to be simple and smooth with less formalities according to old liquor policy  , bidding amount of 2 months of Corona period  to be compensated out of 11 months amount paid by liquor vends , industrial power tariffs for hotel industry , pending payments of hotels by GMC , DM for corona period to be released at the earliest .

Atal Duloo  IAS , Additional Chief Secretary and Financial Commissioner was accompanied with Pk Bhat from Finance department , Showkat Ajaz Bhat Commissioner State taxes J&K, Nitu Gupta Addl Commissioner State taxes Jammu , Kishore Singh Chib Excise Commissioner J&K and others.

Atal Duloo hailed PHDCCI delegation for suggesting positive measures for overall development of UT and assured to resolve the eligible issues at the earliest
