CCIK decries pesky power cuts

Srinagar, Nov 24: Associated Chamber of Commerce and Industry has expressed concern over the frequent power outage in the Valley especially in the city.
In a statement, President CCCIK Tariq Rashid Ghani said many residential areas in the city especially in downtown area are reeling under darkness for longer duration bringing them lot of inconveniences.
He said the traders and young entrepreneurs who aspire to do business are also in bad situation due to unscheduled and longer power cuts.
Ghani appealed to the LG administration for the round the clock power supply so that both households and business units don’t face any inconveniences.
“Many young entrepreneurs who can’t afford backup of power supply through inverters and batteries are facing losess as they are not able to do their jobs without electricity. For good business ecosystem, we need high voltage power supply,” said Ghani.
