Srinagar, Oct 4: Khilanmarg, Kongdori in Gulmarg, other higher parts of Pirpanjal range like Tosamaidan and upper reaches of Ganderbal and Anantnag districts witnessed snowfall, while north Kashmir areas of Kupwara witnessed heavy hailstorm on late Sunday.
Reports reaching Ziraat Times said that light snowfall painted most of the upper reaches of the Pirpanjal range while parts of Kashmir valley plains, including Srinagar, witnessed rains.
Reports reaching from Kupwara said that heavy hail occurred in the district, including areas in and Panzgam, Kralpora, Kalmoona. Some damage has also been reported to paddy crop and fruit trees.
Meanwhile, rainfall has also been several parts of Srinagar and South Kashmir.
This precipitation spell has brought down temperatures across Kashmir.
Met Department had forecast mainly a dry weather for about 10 days on Saturday.
