Non-local workforce part of Kashmir’s industrial growth story: FCIK

Srinagar, Oct 19: Federation Chamber of Industries Kashmir (FCIK) today expressed sympathy with the bereaved families of the migrant workers who were killed during the last few days in different parts of Kashmir.

In view of these attacks on non-local workers, FCIK President Shahid Kamili appealed the Government to strengthen the security of industrial estates across Kashmir.

“We have non-local work force in good numbers in Industrial units across Kashmir. They have been part of our industrial growth story. Govt should provide them enhanced security cover so that they can work without any fear and their families feel secure,” FCIK demanded.

The FCIK President said that all office bearers of industrial associations of Kashmir are in touch with non- local work force and boosting their morale to continue their work in industrial units.
