JAMMU, Oct 29: Income Tax Department today conducted raids in the premises of V K C Nuts Private Limited in Jammu and Noida and laid hands on several incriminating documents.
VKC Nuts Pvt Ltd is a Jammu-based dry fruits processing company, which originally had its core business in walnut processing, supplying and exports.
Today, the company has multi product facilities and offices in NCR, Mumbai and J&K, and its operations span all verticals of the nuts & dry fruits trade such as imports, exports, processing, trading, wholesale and online retail.
Official sources told Jammu-based EXCELSIOR newspaper that on the basis of credible information about evasion of tax, the Income Tax Department sleuths raided the Noida-based office of V K C Nuts Private Limited owned by Vijay Kumar Jain, residence at Gandhi Nagar and factory at Bari Brahamana simultaneously.
“During the raids, the IT sleuths laid hands on several incriminating documents revealing evasion of tax”, sources said, adding “the exact details will come to the fore following completion of detailed scrutiny of impounded documents”.
