Doctors Association Kashmir issues election notification

Srinagar, Oct 27: Doctors Association Kashmir has issued notification for the elections for its central and district level bodies.

According to the notification issued by Dr (Prof) Iqbal Saleem, Chief Election Commissioner, DAK Elections, a copy of which has been emailed to Ziraat Times, nominations are invited from Permanent doctors including consultants, Medical officers and Dental Surgeons who are working under Health Department of Kashmir Divsion for below mentioned posts.

A) Central body DAK

1. President

2. Senior vice President

3. Vice Presidents (Two)

4. General Secretary

5. Chief Spokesperson

6. Spokesperson (Two)

7. Joint Secretary (Six)

8. Media and Publicity Secretary

9. Treasurer

B) District body for each District

1. President

2. Vice President

3. Secretary

5.Treasurer

Nominations are further invited from Consultants of Health Department working in both Jammu and Srinagar for below mentioned posts.

1. President

2. Vice President

3. General Secretary

4. Joint Secretary

5. Media Secretary

6. Treasurer.

As per the notification, a particular doctor can only contest for only one post. Consultant doctors cannot contest for both DAK and SCD posts simultaneously. Nominations can be filed against non refundable cash payment of Rupees 1500 for Presidential Posts and 1000 for other posts and can be sent through WhatsApp or email  to 70068 41781 [email protected]

Counting of Votes will be done on 12.11.2021 at Srinagar and Results will be declared on the same day in presence of media fraternity.
