TAAK participates in J&K’s tourism promotional campaign in Mumbai

Srinagar, Sep 16: Travel Agents Association of Kashmir (TAAK) participated in a promotional campaign organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Department at Mumbai.

The promotional activity was organised to reach out to the industry leaders in tourism and bollywood based in Maharashtra to market Kashmir as prime destination both for the travellers and filmmakers.
Director, Tourism, Kashmir, Dr. G N Itoo and Director, Tourism, Jammu, Vivekanand Rai and President TAAK Farooq A Kuthoo and others officers held various meetings with the industry leaders and apprised them about the J&K’s tourism infrastructure, tourist spots and the newly unveiled film policy.

They met heads of various bollywood banners including Endemol India Private Limited, Excel Entertainment Pvt Ltd, Vishesh Films, Yash Raj Films Pvt. Ltd, Reliance Entertainment, The Film & Television Producers Guild of India Ltd.

Dr. G N Itoo informed the stakeholders travellers have started visiting Kashmir again wherein over 95 percent of the service providers are already vaccinated against Covid19.

Farooq A Kuthoo also on the occasion assured the travel counterparts from Maharashtra of all possible support from the association for the smooth and memorable holidays with unmatched services.

He said Kashmir and Maharashtra’s age-old bond in the tourism industry as the bollywood hit movies shot in Kashmir have already immortalised its beauty.

He also urged the leaders in the film industry to visit Kashmir for maximum shoots and portray Kashmir’s scenic beauty in their projects.
