Srinagar, Sept 1: PHDCCI Kashmir Chair Baldev Singh Raina and Mentor PHDCCI Kashmir Mushtaq Ahmad Chaya have congratulated the J&K UT administration lead by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Secretary Dr Arun Kumar Mehta and Principal Secretary Industries and Commerce Ranjan Prakash Thakur for launching online Portal & roll out of Central Sector Schemes.
In a media statement, Baldev Singh Raina said that “such a platform will help in reducing multiple levels of coordination with several departments. However, for a project of such magnitude, the smooth implementation is crucial and right mix of manpower is crucial to be able to understand the way such digital platforms will function.”
After formal launch of the portal Mushtaq Chaya stated that “much awaited and prestigious online portal has finally been launched for the entrepreneurs and now we are eager to watch out how smoothly it is implemented and ultimately how smooth the online system will be on ground without human interface.”
Baldev Singh Raina further stated that in our earlier interactions with Principal Secretary Industries and Commerce Mr Ranjan Prakash Thakur has committed for launch of such portal and he has relentlessly worked for making unending effort to launch this single window clearance portal to attract more investors to the UT and improve its ranking in the Centre’s Ease of Doing Business rankings. We are witnessing the J&K Industry department has significantly strengthened its single-window clearance system and have made it more comprehensive and unique in country.
Raina added that this move is aimed at ensuring that investors seeking to come to the state do not have to face problems in securing approvals and clearances from different departments.
“We are hopeful that apart from the single window clearance system, all departments of J&K government go completely paperless for the entire process and is set to introduce an online system in all the departments so that they can do away with time-consuming paperwork”, he added.
The virtual inaugural ceremony for launch of web portal was held yesterday and in the virtual ceremony the PHDCCI was represented by Rahul Sahai Chair Jammu. The virtual inauguration was graced by Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah in presence of Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) with Independent Charge of Science and Technology Dr Jitendra Singh and other Union Ministers, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Arun Kumar Mehta and Ranjan Prakash Thakur top bureaucrats of Home, Commerce and Industry Ministries, JK Government and the inauguration was attended by both chapters of PHDCCI J&K virtually.
