NLCO hails Div Com Kashmir’s concern for Srinagar’s water bodies

Srinagar, Sept 16: Nigeen Lake Conservation Organization (NLCO) has hailed “the dedication, concern & administrative acumen of Diviosional Commission, Kashmi, Padurang Pole, for his commitment and concern towards the conservation of Srinagar’s waterbodies.

In a statement issued to media, NLCO said, “Conservationists admire the fact the officer visited the very next day (after our yesterdays meeting with him) regarding relocation of Anchari Mohalla dwellers to explore the possibilities of stretching Nigeen lake. His personal visit to the interiors of the lake greatly expresses his interest in getting our water bodies corrected.”

The dwellers of Anchari Mohalla and Thaboo Mohallah extended a warm welcome to him while as Div Com keenly and patiently listened to their greviences. Besides issuing on spot directives towards the redressal, he assured them all possible help, the statement added.

During the visit, the dwellers of Thaboo Mohalla (adjacent to Anchari Mohalla) also approached with full assurance to administration regarding their rehabilitation request.

“Later on Div Com visited Gilsar to take stock of the ongoing cleansing process. It was after two weeks, a massive cleaning work was witnessed. All credit goes to his personal visit. We also thank Lawda for adding manpower near the gate of Gilsar to clean the muck accumulated. The heads of Mohalla Committees who were present at the visit of DIv Com greatly appreciated his efforts.
Lastly, we will be wanting in acknowledging the contribution help and support Div Com Sir has rendered over the months towards the revival process of water bodies initiated by the administration”, the statement added.
