Three J&K climbers make it to Mount Everest summit today morning

Srinagar: Three climbers from Jammu & Kashmir, associated with the Jawahar Institute of Mountaineering and Winter Sports, Pahalgam have climbed Mount Everest on Tuesday morning.

Sources told Ziraat Times that the three climbers namely Mohamad Iqbal Khan, Mahfooz Ilahi and Hav. Chandra Negi climbed Mt Everest this morning as part of a team of climbers.

In total, twelve climbers – 3 from JIM, 3 from NIM and 6 sherpas made it to the top during the said expedition.

J&K wellknown and veteran adventure sports expert and mountaineer Muhammad Yusuf, while commenting on this feat said, “The expedition was ably led by Principal JIMWS, Pahalgam Ishwar Singh Thapa. Hearty congratulations to the team”.
