Sitaharan-Tosamadian road development long overdue: TDF to DC Budgam

Srinagar: Members of Tosamadian Development Fourm on Sunday staged a sit-in at Shunglipora Khag displaying playcards demanding development of Tosamadian Road.

Members of the Forum interacted with Deputy Commissioner Budgam during the sit-in who was on way to visit Tosamadian for a routine tour.

The members of the Forum led by Advisor to the Chairman Ghulam Mohmad Mailk are seeking development of the road from Sitaharan to Tosamadian which has been left unfinished for years with unknown reasons, a spokesperson told Ziraat Times.

“The Tosamadian Development Forum has raised the issue with the DC Budgam several times, but to date no progress has been made, And today we had to stop the Deputy Commissioner Budgam on the road at Shunglipora Khag” said Gh Mohudin Tantary.

“The process of setting out and gaining a degree of consensus on the current situation faced by tourism and tourism destinations, the development of a long term vision, and the setting of goals , objectives and measurable outcomes can be highly valuable in bringing the key stakeholders together, sharing knowledge, ideas and concerns and helping to raise awareness generally in the wider community”, the spokesperson added.
