Islamabad: Pakistan has reported 157 deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours — the highest single-day death toll since the start of the pandemic as the country’s total fatalities rose to 16,999.
The countrywise breakdown of deaths is as follows:
- Punjab: 98
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 37
- Sindh: 11
- Balochistan: 3
- Islamabad: 5
- Pak-administered Jammu and Kashmir: 3
