Srinagar, March 6: Rain, sleet and snowfall are likely in most areas of Kashmir valley, Chenab valley, Pirpanjal valley, Kargil and Jammu region plains on Sunday and between Wednesday and Friday in the coming week.

Multiple weather data analyzed by Ziraat Times indicates that a moderate cloud system is likely to engulf J&K on late Saturday until late Sunday resulting in rainfall and sleet in most parts of Kashmir valley, Chenab valley, Pirpanjal upper reaches and Kargil.

According to Ziraat Times Weather Outlook, a stronger weather system is likely to result in heavy rainfall and snowfall across Kashmir valley, including some snowfall in Kashmir valley plains, and most parts parts of Chenab valley, upper Pirpanjal and Kargil between coming Wednesday and Friday.

Farmers are advised to plan their horticulture and agriculture-related activities factoring in intermittent wet spells starting Sunday, followed by another spell between Wednesday and Friday.

According to the analysed data, while most of Kashmir plains are likely to experience rainfall and sleet on Sunday; Gurez, Keran, Upper Kupwara, Upper Lolab, Sonamarg, Upper Ganderbal, Gund, Harmukh and surrounding areas, Mahadev peak and surrounding areas, Kolohai glacier and surrounding areas are likely to receive snowfall.

Sonamarg, Zojila Pass and surrounding areas are likely to experience good amount of snowfall.

There is a possibility of snowfall in parts of south Kashmir, including Pahalgam, Upper Anantnag areas, upper Kulgam, upper Shopian, Pir ki Gali as well.

Coming week outlook:

According to information analysed by Ziraat Times, a stronger weather system is likely to result in heavy rainfall and snowfall across Kashmir valley, including some snowfall in Kashmir valley plains, between coming Wednesday and Friday. There is a chance of snowfall in Srinagar and surrounding plain areas as well.

Moderate snowfall is also likely in Chenab valley areas, and also in upper Pirpanjal valley areas during this period.

Jammu plains are likely to experience some rainfall during this spell.
