Eminent experts to discuss Srinagar’s drainage and sewerage issues on Monday

Srinagar, March 15: Eminent subject experts will discuss and debate crucial issues related to drainage and sewerage systems of Srinagar city at a workshop to be organized at the Institution of Engineers Srinagar centre on Monday.

The workshop, organised by the Institution of Engineers J&K Chapter, in collaboration with the Divisional Administration, Kashmir, aims at discussing the key issues of drainage and sewerage systems of Srinagar city in the face of the rising city population, stress on the natural and old drainage systems and the increasing complexity of the fledging drainage and sewerage system of the city.

Er. Khurshid Ahmed Ganai, IAS (Former Advisor to Hon’ble Governor J&K) will be the Chief Guest at the event while Padurang Pole (Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir) will be the Guest of Honor.

Besides Iqbal Chaudhary (Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar) other eminent speakers at the workshop include Athar Aamir Khan (Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation); Dr. G.N Qasba (Former Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation); Er. Arjimand Hussain Talib (International Development Specialist and Founder of Ziraat Times); Er. Ahsan-ul Haq (Superintending Engineer, Drainage Circle, SMC; Er. Mohammad Ashraf Fazili, FIE, (Former Chairman, IEIJKSC and Ex-Chief Engineer); Er. Sheikh Sajid Yaseen (Assistant Engineer, Sub Division 1st UEED Srinagar)

Er. Aamir Ali, FIE, (Chairman IEIJKSC and Director DM/Nodal Officer SEOC) is the principal organizer of the event.

Er. M. Aaquib Sultana Waheed Deva, Honorary Secretary, IEIJKSC is coordinating the event.
