Srinagar, Feb 24: Tosamadian Development Fourm has welcomed Tourism Department’s initiative to invest Rs 100 crore for the development of infrastructure in Yusmarg, Tosmaidan and Doodhpathri, saying it will create opportunities for the young people of these areas.
Chairman Tosamadian Development Fourm Riyaz Ahmad Bhat in a statement to Ziraat Times said that it is a positive step by G. N Itoo, Director Tourism of Kashmir meeting a long-pending demand.
“Infrastructure is the key to develop a successful tourism destination, tourism industry stimulates investments in new infrastructure, most of which improves the local residents as well as tourists. Toursim is to a great extent dependent on the range and type of infrastructure available at the destination. Infrastructure is a core area of the toursim industry and plays a distinctive role in the development of this ever-expanding industry”, he said.
“We have repeatedly tried to convince the government with memorandums that these places need to be developed and that Tosmaidan had experienced many tragic accidents the victims need to be cared for on a humanitarian basis” Chief Patron Ghulam Mohiuddin said.
