Situation grim, as Kashmir gets mammoth snow from Bhaderwah to Karnah

ZT Team Report

Srinagar: From the idyllic valleys of Bhaderwah in the South to the northern towns of Karnah and Gurez, people of Jammu & Kashmir woke up to another big snow on Wednesday morning.

At the time of filing this report on Wednesday 8 AM, snowfall was still going on across most of J&K. Srinagar city also woke up to another morning of big snow, with the total snow on the ground now inching towards 2 feet.

While air and road connectivity between Kashmir valley and Chenab valley with rest of the world remains cutoff, electricity and drinking water, which remained available in most areas on Tuesday, have got snapped in most areas, including Srinagar city on Wednesday morning.

Reports of patients facing immense hardships in reaching medical facilities continue to pour in from across Kashmir.

Reports received by Ziraat Times Wednesday morning from Disaster Management Department suggests that Kulgam, Anantnag, Shopian, Pulwama and Budgam districts had, once again, received heaviest of the snowfall during the night.
