PHD Chamber Kashmir Chapter condoles Dr Majid’s demise

Srinagar: Mentor and Chairman PHD Chamber Kashmir, Mushtaq Ahmad Chaya and Baldev Singh Raina have expressed their condolences on the demise of Dr Abdul Majid Mir, former president, KCCI.
In a statement to Ziraat Times, Baldev Singh Raina said he was “disheartened by the sudden, tragic death of Dr Abdul Majid Mir, former Vice- President (KCCI).”
Mr Baldev praised the ‘sterling qualities’ of the Dr Majid describing him as a great leader who will sorely be missed by trade leaders of J&K.
“Dr. Majid’s era as Vice-President of KCCI will fondly be remembered given his role in fostering KCCI role for socio-economic development”, Mr Raina said.
“Chairman Baldev joins family, friends and associates of the Trade faternity in mourning his departure”, the statement said.

Mentor PHDCCI Kashmir, Mushtaq Ahmad Chaya, while expressing shock and grief at the sudden tragic demise of Dr Abdul Majid Mir, Vice- President of KCCI, in a statement described late Majid Sahab as a person who worked for the uplift and welfare of the business community.

“He was a renowned social worker and a philanthropist whose works will always be cherished and remembered by all. His demise is not only a loss to the trade fraternity but the Kashmir as a whole,” Mr Chaya’s message, emailed to Ziraat Times, reads.

Mr Chaya, while conveying his condolences also prayed that the Almighty grant solace and strength to the bereaved family members.

“It is only our loss that he had to leave us so early and suddenly, unfortunately, for us we can only carry his good memories and strive forward his legacy. The PHDCCI on behalf of the business community of Kashmir extended its deepest condolences to the bereaved family of Dr Majid and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace”, he added.
