Haji Wali Muhammad Anim of Sopore passes away; demise widely condoled

Srinagar: Haji Wali Muhammad Anim, one of the prominent business men of Sopore and founder member of famous Mohammadan Sports Club of the area passed away on Wednesday.

Widely known for his philanthropic and sports promotion activities, Mr Wali Muhammad belonged to Kashmir’s prominent Anim business family and the Arco Group. The Nimaaz-i-jinaza of the deceased was offered in Sopore and he was laid to rest in his family’s graveyard there.

His demise is being widely condoled among social circles. Wullar Foundation Sopore, while expressing its condolences to the bereaved family, said Mr Wali Muhammad was a pious, God-fearing man who was a successful businessman, possessing a great intellect.

Ziraat Times management has also expressed its deepest condolences with the bereaved family.

Ghulam Qadir Kacharu, a prominent citizen from Sopore, has also condoled his demise. Among others who have sent their condolence messages to the bereaved Anim family include: Dr. Ghulam Qadir Dar, Haji Ghulam Muhammad Khan, Haji Ghulam Muhammad Butt, Abdul Rashid Khan, Haji Abdul Khaliq Dar, Abdul Hamid Shah, Bashir Ahmad Kanah, Haji Muhammad Amin Ganai, Nazir Ahmad Halwai etc.
