NTTA offers to build house for sunken houseboat family, asks admin for land plot

Srinagar: Upon witnessing the grief and sorrow of this victim family who have lost everything after their houseboat collapsed in River Jhelum yesterday, Nigeen Tourist Traders Association (NTTA) has expressed its intent to volunteer in helping the victim family by constructing a concrete housing unit for them in collaboration with Kashmir Welfare Trust.

The housing unit will be constructed on the pattern of 100-plus dwelling units constructed by Kashmir Welfare Trust at Rakhi Arth for the flood victims.

NTTA has urged the Srinagar District Administration to allot a plot of land for the flood victims so that a reliable shelter is being constructed for the family to enable them to live with dignity and joy.
