Power shutdown cancelled today in public interest: CE, PTCL to Ziraat Times

ZT NEWS

Srinagar: The planned maintenance and power shutdown in South Srinagar areas today has been cancelled by Power Trading Corporation Limited-Kashmir.

The corporation took the decision late evening yesterday.

Speaking to Ziraat Times, Chief Engineer, Hashmat Qazi, PTCL-Kashmir, said the planned shutdown was cancelled in public interest.

Asked if there was a need to better publicise the cancellation so that public were well informed, Mr Hashmat said, “In case of shutdowns we always inform in advance because we plan the same well in advance. We decided the cancellation of today’s shutdowns because of an unscheduled interruption yesterday which resulted in an erratic supply. Being sensitive towards our consumers we decide to call it off today. This was done late in the evening yesterday.”
