Agri Depts, J&K and agro-chemical companies jointly review quality and supply issues

Srinagar: To review the supply and quality issues of agro-chemicals used across the agriculture and allied sectors in Kashmir, Director Agriculture Kashmir and representatives of pesticides dealers from Jammu and Kashmir regions, heads of various Insecticides and Pesticide Manufacturing Companies held a meeting today.

The meeting was also attended by Director Agriculture Jammu, Director Law Enforcement APFW, Deputy Director Law Enforcement Jammu, Plant Protection Officer Jammu through virtual mode while as Deputy Director Law Enforcement Kashmir, Plant Protection Officer Kashmir in person.


Speaking on the occasion, Director Agriculture, Kashmir, Altaf Aijaz Andrabi, who is also Controller Insecticides J&K, said every effort must be put in so that farmers’ interests are served at all the levels of administration.


It was emphasized that pesticides and insecticides companies must ensure that quality pesticides and insecticides are available before the season starts.


Representatives of Pesticides and Insecticides companies raised various queries before the Director, after giving a patient hearing he assured them that their genuine queries will be taken care of on priority.
