Skill Development Lab inaugurated at Bilaliya Institute

Srinagar: A skill development-cum-home science lab was inaugurated today at Bilaliya Educational Institute’s Lal Bazar Campus. The lab was set up in order to provide a dedicated space for students to learn employability skill topics in a fun & experiential way using blended learning approach.

The Hi-Tech lab was inaugurated by ZEO Hawal Mushtaq Ahmad in presence of G. N .Var President Private Schools’ Association.

The lab consisting of modern kitchen for cooking classes, tailoring section, handicrafts segment and 3D printing etc was today added to the school’s infrastructure. Numerous personalities, educationists, social activities, parents and teachers participated in the inaugural ceremony apart from government officials like ZEO Mushtaq Ahmad, Zonal Resource officer Syed Tanveer Hussain, President Private Schools’ Association GN Var, Chairman Bilaliya Educational Institute Manzoor Ahmad Wangnoo, social activists and members of private schools’ association etc.


Speaking at the occasion, ZEO congratulated BEI for setting up the lab and said that under new National education policy (NEP 2020), education department has to encourage schools to introduce these types of ways of learning.

President G. N. Var applauded BEI for introducing new lab in the school and said that this step taken by BEI is an exemplary step and advised other private schools to introduce the same in their respective schools to keep the schools apace with NEP-2020.

Chairman Bilaliya Educational Institute Manzoor Ahmad Wangnoo apart from thanking the guests, parents and students for gracing the occasion impressed on the need of setting up of these kinds of labs in educational institutes.
