RTI Movement condoles death of Agha Ashraf Ali

Srinagar: In a statement issued to press Farooq Kuthoo, Spokesperson J&K RTI Movement condoled the sad demise of noted educationist and scholar, Dr. Agha Ashraf Ali who passed away on August 8 at his residence in Srinagar.


Mr. Agha Ashraf was a rich legacy of excellence and legend in true sense who will be remembered for his immense contribution as an academician and great Scholar, it said.


Observing that Mr. Agha Ashraf was a great orator who spoke on history, education, culture, and Kashmir politics, Mr Farooq said he also spoke fearlessly on human rights violations in Kashmiris.


“We have lost a gem and a man of immense substance.The best tribute to him will be to follow his footsteps and work for the welfare of our society. We would like to extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved family and pray to Allah to rest his soul in peace.”, the statement further said.
