Five more CA Storage projects approved in J&K

Srinagar: Five more Controlled Atmosphere (CA) Storage projects were approved for Jammu & Kashmir today.

According to a press release from the Horticulture Department Kashmir, a meeting of EMC was held under the Chairmanship of Additional Secretary, GoI today, which was attended by Mission Director MIDH, J&K, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat as well.

After threadbare discussion, five CA Storage projects of J&K State were approved and in respect of other projects, whose DPRs have also been submitted to the Horticulture Department, and have not been sanctioned yet, it was advised that “necessary documents be furnished at an earliest so that these projects are sanctioned.”

Further, Government of India has desired to provide the detail of land for establishment of PEQ facility which should be sufficient for 8 lac plants.
