SRINAGAR: The Jammu & Kashmir administration has banned entry of foreign tourists to Kashmir as what it calls “a precautionary measure in view of the coronavirus outbreak around the world.”

Although it was not clear in the initial order whether this ban is applicable to Ladakh and Jammu divison as well, a supplementary official statement said the ban was applicable to entire “UT of J&K.”


Advisor to the Lt. Governor Baseer Ahmad Khan has issued necessary orders in this regard.


Secretary Tourism, Director Tourism and DCs have been asked to ensure implementation of the order with immediate effect.
