Beacon warns residents against waste dumping along Shadimarg–Yusmarg road

Advisory asks residents of Drabgam, Charipora and Pakherpora to keep roads and roadside drains clear

Srinagar, October 10: Beacon Yusmarg 52 RCC, General Reserve Engineer Force (GREF), has issued a public advisory asking residents of Drabgam, Charipora and Pakherpora along the Shadimarg–Yusmarg road to refrain from dumping household waste, animal dung, gravel, stones and wastewater onto the road.

The advisory directs residents to divert domestic wastewater into roadside drains or proper soakage pits to prevent its discharge onto the road. It also cautions against illegal construction and obstruction of roadside drainage.

Warning that violations would invite necessary action under applicable Beacon rules, the agency has urged residents to cooperate in keeping the road and its drainage system clear.

The advisory has been issued by Beacon Yusmarg 52 RCC, GREF.
