Ziraat Times Team Report

NEW DELHI, OCT 4: The Government of India has extended the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP) Scheme till December 31, 2026, providing continued support to exporters by enabling them to claim remission of eligible duties, taxes and levies on exported products.

The Department of Commerce, through Notification No. 41/2026-27 dated September 30, 2026, extended the scheme for exports made by Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) units, Advance Authorisation (AA) holders, Special Economic Zone (SEZ) units and Export Oriented Units (EOUs).

The RoDTEP scheme provides remission of embedded and un-rebated Central, State and local duties, taxes and levies borne on exported products, including cumulative indirect taxes incurred at prior stages of production and distribution.

The government said the existing RoDTEP rates and value caps notified under Appendix 4R and Appendix 4RE, as applicable on September 30, 2026, will continue unchanged during the extended period.

The extension is aimed at providing greater certainty to exporters and supporting their competitiveness in international markets.

According to the government, the measure reflects its commitment to supporting exporters and creating a level playing field for Indian products vis-à-vis competing economies.
