Srinagar, September 24: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Anshul Garg has directed Deputy Commissioners (DCs) to intensify efforts to accelerate registrations under Agristack and the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS), and achieve the assigned targets within the stipulated timelines.
The directions were issued during a meeting convened to review district-wise progress under the two initiatives.
The meeting was attended by the Director, Skill Development, Deputy Commissioners, Additional Secretary, Revenue, Assistant Commissioner Central and OSD.
Agristack registration reviewed
Reviewing progress under Agristack, particularly village-wise coverage, the Divisional Commissioner directed the Deputy Commissioners to ensure 100 per cent submission and 60 per cent approval of the targeted villages by September 30.
He also reviewed the status of farmer registrations and called upon the DCs to intensify efforts to bridge the gaps against the assigned targets. He stressed the need for focused monitoring and expeditious processing of registrations across the districts.
The Deputy Commissioners were further directed to submit a clear and consolidated list of issues and bottlenecks encountered during the registration process, so that these could be taken up with the concerned departments and offices for timely resolution.
NAPS targets to be surpassed by Monday
Reviewing progress under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS), Garg directed the Deputy Commissioners to surpass the assigned targets by Monday.
He also stressed the importance of conducting proper quality checks of establishment and apprentice registrations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
The Divisional Commissioner called for close monitoring of progress at the district level and directed the concerned officers to accord priority to achieving the targets within the stipulated timelines.
