Permanent registration introduced for hotels, homestays, travel agencies and other tourism establishments
Leh, September 12: The Tourism Department, Ladakh, has issued the Ladakh Tourist Unit Registration Notification, 2026, superseding the earlier notification issued in April 2026.
The revised framework covers various tourism establishments, including hotels, homestays, camping units, travel agencies, mountain tour operators, adventure tour operators and other tourist units.
Under the revised system, registration will be granted on a permanent basis, subject to fulfilment of prescribed requirements, clearances and approvals.
The department has advised all existing tourist units to ensure that their registration particulars and requisite compliance information are duly completed and updated within the prescribed timelines.
