Chadoora, June 12: In a development which might bring some relief to the people of Budgam district, the Public Works (R&B) Division Chadoora has issued a tender notice for the rehabilitation of the Main Bridge at Chadoora, paving the way for the commencement of a long-awaited project aimed at improving public infrastructure in the area.
According to the Notice Inviting Tender (NIT) issued by the Executive Engineer, PW (R&B) Division Chadoora, the project has an advertised cost of ₹953.59 lakh (approximately ₹9.54 crore) and is being executed under the Bridge Sector. The work is expected to be completed within 18 months from the date of allotment.
The tender has been invited through the e-tendering process from eligible contractors registered with the Jammu & Kashmir Government, CPWD, Railways and other State and Central government agencies. The project has received technical sanction from the Chief Engineer, PW (R&B) Department, Central Kashmir.
As per the tender schedule, downloading of bidding documents will commence on June 13, while bids can be submitted from June 18 to July 4. Technical bids are scheduled to be opened on July 6.
