8th Central Pay Commission to visit J&K from May 31; stakeholder meet at SKICC on June 1

Srinagar, May 29: The Finance Department of the Government of Jammu & Kashmir has informed that the 8th Central Pay Commission will visit the Union Territory from May 31 to June 5, 2026, to interact with various stakeholders, including government employees, unions and associations, ahead of the implementation process related to the new pay commission.

According to an official communication issued by the Finance Department (Codes Division) and receuved by Ziraat Times, the Commission has scheduled an interaction and presentation session with the Government of UT of J&K on June 1, 2026, from 11 am to 1 pm at Meeting Hall CR3, SKICC, near Centaur Hotel, Srinagar.

The meeting will involve senior officers of the administration led by the Chief Secretary. Officials directed to participate include Additional Chief Secretaries of departments such as Jal Shakti, Power Development, CM Secretariat, Tourism, Agriculture, Finance and Public Works (R&B).

The communication also stated that Principal Secretaries from the Home Department, Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat and Election Department will attend the interaction.

Besides, the Commissioner Secretary, General Administration Department, Commissioner Secretary, Law, Justice & Parliamentary Affairs Department, and all Heads of Departments of the Finance Department have also been asked to participate in the scheduled interaction.
