J&K Bank Launches New Suite of Digital Products

Srinagar: J&K Bank on Thursday announced the rollout of a suite of new digital products and IT services aimed at strengthening its technology infrastructure and enhancing customer experience. The launch was held at the bank’s Corporate Headquarters, with MD & CEO Amitava Chatterjee unveiling the offerings virtually from Jammu.

Senior management including Executive Director Sudhir Gupta, CGMs Sunit Kumar and Imtiyaz Ahmad Bhat, General Managers, and other senior officers attended the event, while Divisional and Zonal Heads joined via video conference.

Chatterjee said the bank is accelerating its shift toward a fully digital, omni-channel banking model. “Digital transformation is no longer a choice—it is the spine of modern banking,” he said, adding that the new offerings reinforce the bank’s move from traditional branch-led operations to anytime, anywhere banking.

He highlighted the J&K Bank Voice Pod App as a key feature of the launch, noting that the app enables voice-activated UPI payment notifications without the need for a sound box. Chatterjee also described the new RuPay Platinum Credit Card—supporting QR, tap-and-pay and app-based payments through UPI applications—as a significant addition to the bank’s digital portfolio.

The MD & CEO urged operational teams to actively promote the new services, along with initiatives such as Re-KYC via mPay Delight+ and the Automated Digital Fraud Management system. “The success of this initiative depends on how early and effectively customers adopt the new offerings,” he said.

Executive Director Sudhir Gupta commended the technical teams involved, saying the bank is building a long-term digital transformation framework responsive to evolving technology, customer expectations and regulatory requirements.

General Manager (Strategy & IT) Mohammad Muzaffar Wani said the new products incorporate advanced technologies to strengthen convenience and security. “We are creating a superior banking experience that aligns with industry standards while addressing the diverse needs of our customers,” he said.

A detailed presentation highlighted the key features of the newly launched products, which include the RuPay Platinum Credit Card, Automated Digital Fraud Management system, Re-KYC through mPay Delight+, personalized cheque book issuance through mPay Delight+, the J&K Bank Voice Pod App and a simplified IMPS service.

The bank’s RuPay Platinum Credit Card, previously unveiled at the NPCI Pavilion during the Global Fintech Fest 2025 in Mumbai, offers EMV-chip security, OTP and UPI PIN authentication, and UPI-enabled QR, tap-and-pay and app-based transactions.

The Automated Digital Fraud Management system integrates real-time traceability, instant account freezing, lien marking and NCRP connectivity for rapid reporting and mitigation of suspicious transactions.

The Re-KYC service via mPay Delight+ allows customers to update their details digitally, with the app auto-fetching CKYC and address details from the bank’s systems. The Voice Pod App offers multi-language support, transaction history and voice-enabled UPI alerts without requiring hardware devices.

The revamped IMPS platform now offers 24×7 interoperable transfers, including transfers using only a mobile number and bank name. The personalized cheque book issuance facility on mPay Delight+ enables request, tracking and doorstep delivery through a fully digital process.
