Srinagar: The Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kashmir (CCIK) held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday at Hotel Radisson Collection, Rajbagh, Srinagar, bringing together a large gathering of business leaders and representatives from diverse sectors of the Valley’s trade and industry.
During the meeting, Tariq Ghani was re-elected President of CCIK, while prominent businessman Mushtaq Chaya was named Chief Patron of the organisation. The elections were conducted unanimously, reflecting a spirit of unity and continuity within the chamber.
The new team of office bearers includes Hussain Khan as Senior Vice President, Dr. Imran as Junior Vice President, Adnan Shah as Secretary General, Aatif Khan as Joint Secretary, Ajaz Khan as Treasurer, Umer Koul as Convenor and Ashiq Bhat as Chief Coordinator.
In his address after being re-elected, Tariq Ghani thanked members for their confidence and pledged to strengthen the chamber’s role as a voice of the business community in Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasised that the new team would focus on economic revival, trade facilitation, innovation, and collaboration between the public and private sectors.
“The CCIK will continue to work for the welfare of traders, entrepreneurs, and industrialists, ensuring that business concerns are effectively represented before the government and relevant agencies,” Mr. Ghani said.
The AGM concluded with a vote of thanks, marking what participants described as a new phase of cooperative leadership within CCIK, aimed at advancing growth and unity in the region’s business ecosystem.
