Srinagar: At a time when Kashmir was reeling under one of the worst flood-like disasters this week, when most leading internet service providers faced massive outages and communication breakdowns, CNS Infotel Pvt Ltd has emerged as the only operator to provide uninterrupted internet connectivity across the Valley.
Headed by Riyaz Mir and Madeena Mir, CNS Infotel kept vital communication lines open during the crisis, ensuring that media houses, government offices, hospitals and ordinary citizens remained connected when other networks collapsed.
Locals and officials said that uninterrupted internet connectivity proved “invaluable” for coordination of relief and rescue operations. Many professionals and businesses dependent on digital platforms also credited CNS Infotel for keeping them online during the crisis.
“This is a moment of pride for us. Our team worked round the clock to ensure that connectivity was never lost despite challenges. We dedicate this achievement to the people of Kashmir,” Ms. Madeena Mir said in a statement.
Recognising the company’s extraordinary efforts, the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) Kashmir felicitated CNS Infotel for its “exemplary service and outstanding contribution” in ensuring seamless internet services during the disaster. The trade body said CNS Infotel’s commitment and resilience had set a new benchmark for service providers in the region.
