PHDCCI Kashmir discusses economic growth roadmap with Advisor to CM

Srinagar: A delegation of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) Kashmir on Wednesday held a detailed meeting with Nasir Aslam Wani, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, at Gupkar to deliberate on strategies for sustainable economic growth in the Union Territory.

The delegation was led by Chairman PHDCCI-Kashmir, Vicky Shaw, and included Co-Chairman Himayu, alongside members Bilal Kawoosa, Shahid Khan, Madeena Mir, Sajad Shah, and Iqbal Fayaz Jan.

During the meeting, the delegation presented a comprehensive overview of issues and opportunities across key sectors, including handicrafts, wool, silk, MSMEs, education, housing, and urban development. Shaw highlighted the chamber’s recommendations, emphasizing policy interventions, infrastructure development, and streamlined processes to boost productivity and create employment.

Advisor Wani acknowledged the chamber’s role in shaping economic policy and assured sector-specific follow-up. He proposed dedicated meetings between PHDCCI members and concerned Ministers and Administrative Secretaries to address each sector’s unique challenges in depth.

The PHDCCI delegation expressed gratitude for Wani’s receptive approach and constructive response. The chamber welcomed the proposal for sectoral consultations and reaffirmed its commitment to working in partnership with the administration to drive inclusive economic progress.
