Lal Chowk Auqaf Market Traders Association office bearers take oath

SRINAGAR — The Traders Association of Auqaf Market, Lal Chowk, held a dignified oath-taking ceremony today to formally induct its newly elected leadership, marking a fresh chapter in one of Srinagar’s most prominent commercial hubs.

At the event, Sheikh Najeeb assumed charge as President, while Shameem Hussain took over as General Secretary of the association. The oath of office was administered by Mohammad Yaseem Khan, President of the Kashmir Traders and Manufacturers Federation (KTMF), during a graceful function held at a local hotel.

The ceremony was attended by several senior KTMF leaders and members, including Din Mohammad Mattoo, Qazi Tauseef, Lateef Ahmad Sofi, Shabir Ahmad Naqash, Peer Intikhab, Mehrajuddin Mars, Sheikh Firdous Ahmad, Zubair Ahmad Bhat, Fayaz Ahmad Bhat, Nisar Ahmad Shahdar, Firdous Ahmad Ganie, and Mehrajudin Khan, reflecting strong support from the wider business fraternity.

In his address, KTMF President Yaseem Khan congratulated the new office bearers and underscored the importance of unity, transparency, and collective action in overcoming the challenges faced by the business community. He reaffirmed KTMF’s full backing for the Auqaf Market traders in their future initiatives.

Special appreciation was extended to Sheikh Manzoor Ahmad, the Election Commissioner for the Traders Association, for conducting free, fair, and transparent elections, earning praise from both participants and observers.
