Srinagar: President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kashmir (CCIK), Tariq Ahmad Ghani, on Wednesday extended a warm and heartfelt welcome to pilgrims arriving for the annual Amarnath Yatra, describing it as a “majestic celebration of faith and humanity.”
Ghani praised the pilgrimage as a reflection of Kashmir’s spirit of brotherhood and shared heritage, and assured yatris of comprehensive hospitality and safety arrangements across the Valley.
“Every visitor will be received with unmatched warmth, compassion and respect,” he said, noting that CCIK has mobilized significant resources to ensure round-the-clock assistance and comfort for the pilgrims.
According to the CCIK, hotels, markets, and other services have been fully prepared, with strengthened safety protocols, dedicated helpdesks, medical support teams, and emergency response units.
Ghani urged all stakeholders—businesses, transporters, hoteliers, shopkeepers, volunteers, and civil society—to unite in extending wholehearted support to the pilgrims.
“This is our collective responsibility, and an opportunity to reaffirm Kashmir’s legacy of harmony and care,” he added.
As the Yatra gains momentum, the CCIK president said the Valley stands ready to offer a peaceful and memorable experience for every pilgrim.
