Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Bank has revised and renewed its Group Personal Accidental Insurance (GPAI) scheme for permanent employees of the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. Notably, the revised scheme now includes a ₹50 lakh insurance cover for deaths in air accidents, a feature effective from June 7, 2025.
The enhanced coverage will be valid for a period of one year — from June 7, 2025, to June 6, 2026 — and applies to permanent employees working in Corporations, PSUs, Autonomous Bodies, Local Bodies, Universities, and Police Personnel/SPOs of both UTs, provided their salary accounts are maintained with J&K Bank.

The coverages under serial numbers 2, 3, and 4 have been newly introduced as part of this revision.
Eligibility Criteria:

The employee must be a permanent government employee of J&K or Ladakh, including in public sector and autonomous institutions.

The salary account must be held with J&K Bank.

Eligible age range is 18 to 60 years, or up to the maximum superannuation age as per service rules.

Employees with salary accounts in other banks are not eligible under the policy. However, they can qualify by opening and maintaining a salary account with J&K Bank during the policy period.
