Jammu: Rahul Sahai, Chairman of the Indian Chamber of Commerce, Jammu, met Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha to express deep solidarity with the Union Territory administration and the nation in the aftermath of the recent terror attack on tourists in Pahalgam.
During the meeting, Sahai conveyed the full support of the Jammu business and industry community to the actions initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Lieutenant Governor’s administration, and security forces in ensuring that the perpetrators of the heinous crime are brought to justice.
Calling the attack “an assault on humanity and the spirit of peaceful coexistence,” Sahai said the entire business fraternity of Jammu stands united in grief with the victims’ families. He condemned the cowardly act and stressed that such violence will not deter the collective resolve for peace.
Sahai also lauded the mature and restrained response of the civil society, particularly in Kashmir, where citizens maintained calm while strongly denouncing the attack. He highlighted the peaceful protests held by trade and commerce bodies across Jammu and Kashmir as a reflection of public outrage and unity.
In a symbolic gesture, Sahai presented a sacred five-faced Hanuman idol to the Lieutenant Governor on behalf of Jammu’s trade community. The idol, representing strength, protection, and divine support, was offered as a prayer for peace and resilience in the region.
