J&K Govt attaches Tehsildar Tangmarg over alleged misconduct

Srinagar: The Government of Jammu and Kashmir has initiated regular departmental action against Tehsildar Tangmarg, Baramulla, pending an inquiry into his conduct as a public servant.

As per Government Order No. 150-JK(Rev) of 2024, dated 27 December 2024, the Tehsildar has been attached to the office of the Financial Commissioner (Revenue), J&K, with immediate effect. The Deputy Commissioner of Baramulla has been directed to assign the charge of Tehsildar Tangmarg to another officer with impeccable integrity until further orders.

The order, issued by Secretary to the Government Kumar Rajeev Ranjan, has been communicated to various officials, including the Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, the Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor, and the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir. (KNS)
