Elections for J&K Cold Storages Association scheduled for 9 Nov – A Ziraat Times curtain raiser

Lassipora: The Jammu & Kashmir Fruits & Vegetables Processing & Integrated Cold Chain Association (JKPICCA) is set to hold elections for key office bearer positions tomorrow, 9 November 2024. The election will decide the new President, Vice President, and General Secretary Cum Treasurer of the association, aiming to revitalize leadership within the organization that serves the interests of the fruit and vegetable processing and cold chain sectors in Jammu and Kashmir.

The election notification was initially issued on 2 November 2024, formally dissolving previous bodies and announcing the upcoming elections. According to the schedule, the filing of nominations took place from 4 to 5 November, with candidates allowed to withdraw by 6 November. Following scrutiny and finalization on 7 November, the field is now set for tomorrow’s voting.

Voting will take place at the Directorate of Horticulture, Rajbagh, Srinagar, from 10:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

The election commission team includes Irshad Ahmad Bhat, Mushtaq Ahmad Dar, Ashaq Hussain Shangloo, and Sheikh Manzoor.
