Srinagar, Oct 6: The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) has strongly condemned the outrageous statement of Mahant Narsinghanand about Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
In a press statement, KCCI said Mahant’s remarks have deeply hurt not only the sentiments of Muslims but all those who are sensitive and respectful to religious beliefs, religious heads, Prophets and saints of different faiths.
The KCCI believes that Yati’s statement is aimed at provoking sentiments, spreading hate among communities; and, as such, demands immediate action and accountability of Mahant, who reportedly is a habitual hate monger with many cases registered against him.
The law enforcement agencies should ensure that such offenders are not allowed to indulge in any outrageous act having potential to vitiate the peace between the communities, KCCI added.
