Srinagar, Aug 27: The Jammu & Kashmir National Conference has announced its list of candidates for the upcoming Assembly elections in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Approved by the President of JKNC, the candidate list includes prominent figures within the party, representing its strategic focus on both traditional strongholds and key constituencies across the state.

Key candidates include:

1. Kangan (ST): Mian Mehar Ali
2. Ganderbal: Omar Abdullah, the party’s Vice President and former Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, will contest from his traditional stronghold.
3. Hazratbal: Salman Ali Sagar, a young and dynamic leader, has been chosen for this critical seat.
4. Khanyar: Ali Mohammad Sagar, a seasoned politician and a key figure in JKNC, will be contesting from this constituency.
5. Habba Kadal: Shameema Firdous, known for her work on women’s issues, will represent this important constituency.
6.Tangmarg: Farooq Ahmad Shah, a former bureaucrat, has been nominated for this seat.
